John Calipari was asked about several topics at Kentucky Basketball Media Day and one of the most interesting was about Rick Pitino and the Louisville escort scandal.
Calipari was hopeful that not any of it was true and truly believed that Rick Pitino could have nothing to do with it.
“I would say I hope it’s not true. If any of it is, it’s not good for college basketball. It’s not the norm.”
“If any of it is (true), I can’t believe he would know anything about it, knowing Rick as I do.”
Here is the video of the tail end of the Calipari remarks about Louisville, and if you continue to listen, you will hear him shut down Jerry Tipton after asking a question about Skal Labissiere’s eligibility. It had made at least the 2nd time Tipton had asked about the situation.
