Jerry Palm of CBS Sports is projecting Kentucky to the Liberty Bowl in Memphis on December 31.
There has been a thought that the Wildcats would land a better-than-expected bowl invitation simply because the SEC is having trouble filling all their spots this season.
Here’s how Palm sees it with SEC teams:

– College Football Playoff: LSU
– Sugar Bowl Jan. 1 New Orleans, La. SEC vs. Big 12 Georgia vs. Baylor
– Orange Bowl Dec. 30 Miami, Fla. ACC vs. SEC/Big Ten/ND Virginia vs. Alabama
– Cotton Bowl Dec. 28 Arlington, Tex. at-large vs. at-large Memphis vs. Florida
– Gator Bowl Jan. 2 Jacksonville, Fla. Big Ten vs. SEC Michigan vs. Missouri
– Citrus Bowl Jan. 1 Orlando, Fla. ACC/Big Ten vs. SEC Minnesota vs. Auburn
– Outback Bowl Jan. 1 Tampa, Fla. Big Ten vs. SEC Penn State vs. Texas A&M
– Liberty Bowl Dec. 31 Memphis, Tenn. Big 12 vs. SEC TCU vs. Kentucky
– Music City Bowl Dec. 30 Nashville, Tenn. ACC vs. SEC Louisville vs. Tennessee
– Texas Bowl Dec. 27 Houston, Tex. Big 12 vs. SEC Okla. State vs. Miss. State
Of course, if Alabama or Georgia find a way into the playoff, this all changes and the Wildcats likely get bumped up a spot.
UPDATE: as several folks have pointed out (and it slipped my mind), Missouri isn’t actually eligible for a bowl game this season. Palm has the Tigers projected to the Gator Bowl.
