Georgia’s All American linebacker Jarvis Jones will not play today at Kentucky and freshman Jordan Jenkins will start instead.
Jones had not practiced all week due to a sprained right ankle.
One would think with the potential #1 pick in the NFL Draft being injured, there would be a big drop off.
It doesn’t sound like that at all.
Meanwhile, the Bulldogs have been extremely please with Jenkins, a 6-foot-3, 257-pound true freshman out of Harris County. The former 5-star recruit already started one game in Jones’ stead — Sept. 15 against Florida Atlantic — and has 15 tackles and 3 sacks on the season.
“I think he’s going to be an All-American in the next two or three years,” defensive coordinator Todd Grantham told reporters after the FAU game. “He can give us much needed depth as we move forward through the season. That’s why we recruited him.”
