Former Kentucky star Jamal Murray was fined $100,000 on Tuesday for throwing a heating pad in the direction of a referee during Denver’s 106-80 Game 2 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday.
Surprisingly, Murray did not receive a suspension.
The punishment was announced by Joe Dumars, the NBA’s executive vice president and head of basketball operations:
