Jackson State head coach Deion Sanders was upset at a reporter for calling him “Deion” twice during SWAC Media Day earlier today.
“You don’t call Nick Saban, ‘Nick.’ Don’t call me Deion,” Sanders told a reporter from the Clarion Ledger.
Sanders said that “if you call Nick, Nick, you’ll get cussed out on the spot,” adding, “so don’t do that to me. Treat me like Nick.”

For the record, I’ve heard reporters call John Calipari “John” for years and no one was cussed out.
