The worst kept secret in college basketball is finally official: Chris Mack is the new head coach at Louisville.

The University of Louisville and Chris Mack have agreed to terms on a seven-year deal to make Mack the school’s new men’s basketball coach, a source with direct knowledge of the deal told Courier Journal on Tuesday.
Mack, previously the head coach at Xavier, was long considered the favorite to land the job. He met with interim Louisville athletic director Vince Tyra on Saturday.
The terms of the agreement were not immediately known.
Louisville is the expected to introduce Mack at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
Luke Murray and Mike Pegues are expected to be a part of Chris Mack's staff at Louisville as assistant coaches, per a source. Both were on staff at Xavier.
