Kentucky 2015 signee Isaiah Briscoe wanted new LSU commit Antonio Blakeney to come and play in the Bluegrass State with him since they are both good friends.

In an interview with Zagsblog.com he wished him the best, but is ready for the revamped LSU Tigers next season.

“He’s a great player,” Briscoe told SNY.tv after the game. “I would’ve loved for him to go play with me at Kentucky. I wish the best for him.”

There will be a burgeoning rivalry between Kentucky and LSU next season, given the wealth of talent on both sides. Briscoe is ready for the challenge.

“That’s what you play the game for, to compete,” he said.

LSU’s 2015 recruiting class, which includes #1 Ben Simmons, is very good for the SEC.

A better conference makes for a more prepared Kentucky team in my opinion.

Here is an excerpt from NJ.com:

Kentucky-bound point guard Isaiah Briscoe shook off a slow start to score 22 points and South Carolina commit Chris Silva fought off foul trouble to contribute 13 points, six rebounds and a pair of blocks as Roselle Catholic downed St. Anthony, 51-48, in the Hoops For Troops showcase at Roselle Catholic High School on Friday.
