Former Kentucky wide receiver Chris Matthews could very well be working on a Super Bowl MVP performance.
In the first half, Matthews caught 2 passes for 55 yards and a touchdown.
He opened the second half with a 45-yard catch. He now has 3 catches for 100 yards and a touchdown.
If Matthews makes another big play or two and the Seahawks get the win, he would likely be the favorite to win the historic award.
UPDATE: Matthews now has 4 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown.
Remember, it was Matthews who helped Seattle even make the Super Bowl with his onside kick recovery in the NFC Championship game.
