Indiana Slams Kentucky for 10th Straight Win; Kentucky Girls Win 3rd in Row

The Indiana Boys All Stars destroyed a worn out Kentucky squad 114-60 which set the series record for largest margin of victory. The previous record was a 38 point victory by Indiana in 1998.

Kentucky was led in scoring by the two University of Kentucky signees as Derek Willis had 18 points on 6-12 shooting and Dominique Hawkins finished with 13 points.

Indiana overmatched Kentucky from the start as they shot a blistering 52.9% from the field and had a 44-29 lead at the half. The second half was no different as the Hoosiers shot 65% from the field while hitting 13-22 from behind the arc for the game.

Here are interviews with Hawkins, Willis and head coach Allen Feldhaus Jr.

Hawkins and Willis not only talk about the loss, but they also talk about what they have gone through with conditioning with UK and they also comment about their teammates.

Feldhaus contributes the loss to his two stars being worn out from UK workouts and not having his team together for practices this past week.

The Kentucky Girls had a much different outcome in the opener as they led most of the game and came away with an 84-78 win over Indiana.

Kentucky Miss Basketball and UK Hoops signee Makayla Epps had 17 points, 10 assists and 4 steals and high school and future UK teammate Kyvin Goodin-Rogers finished with 11.

Madison Central’s Ashton Feldhaus was the star of the game as she hit 2 huge 3s after Indiana had cut the lead to 2 in the final minute for the home squad to hold on to the victory. The Butler signee finished with a game high 20 points.
