Georgia Tech has lost four players, including their starting running back, to transfer in recent weeks.
Freshman wide receiver Christian Philpott became the latest departure over the weekend:
After leading rusher Marcus Marshall became one of three Yellow Jackets to announce his decision to transfer out of the program, Christian Philpott did the same.
On his personal Twitter account, Philpott announced that he will be leaving the Yellow Jackets in January. The wide receiver said he decided to leave following discussions with family and friends, but he didn’t offer a specific reason as to why he was leaving the program.
Obviously, Marcus Marshall was the team’s biggest loss. He led Georgia Tech in rushing with 96 carries for 624 yards this season.
Cornerback Dorian Walker and linebacker Emanuel Bridges have also left the program since the end of the regular season.
