This has certainly been a Big Blue Day in Kentucky.
Rumors began to swirl yesterday and this morning that Kentucky has already offered its head coaching job to Baylor’s Scott Drew.
This morning, there were reports that a private plane belonging to the Craft family flew to Waco and back to Lexington. During the flight, fans began tracking the plane online.
Of course, it quickly became the most tracked plane in the world:
The plane is the #1 tracked plane in the entire world right now.

Things got a little weird when the plane bypassed Lexington and landed in nearby Cynthiana:

After the plane dust settled down, Scott Drew (intentionally) made a post to prove that he was actually just having lunch at a Mexican restaurant in Waco:
Great lunch spot in Waco on a rainy day. No better friend and supporter than Eric Shero and Alliance Bank! pic.twitter.com/OP2OfYNhnZ

Around this same time, Keith Farmer of LEX 18 issued an update that he can confirm that no coaches were in Lexington, etc. etc.
I can confirm that there is NO coach in town today. None. No plane flew a coach into Lexington or the state to bring a coach in for an interview today. Not even from Waco.
The wait continues to find the next UK head basketball coach. #BBN— Keith Farmer (@KeithFarmer18) April 10, 2024
Oh yeah, speaking of the Mexican restaurant, a Kentucky fan apparently called the restaurant and asked for Scott Drew. A waitress allegedly got the phone to Drew and the UK fan on the phone said, “hey coach we need you here at Kentucky…”
