Former Kentucky pitcher Magdiel Cotto was a hero in more ways than one on Saturday.
Cotto earned his first professional save by tossing two scoreless innings out of the bullpen in Bradenton’s 4-3 win over St. Lucie.
The game was halted in the second inning when a turtle made its way onto the field. Thankfully, Cotto came to the rescue:

The Bradenton Marauders are a Minor League Baseball team of the Florida State League and the Single-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Pirates took Cotto in the 2023 MLB Draft.
