Former Kentucky wide receiver Chris Matthews just made a huge play for the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Championship game.
The Seahawks appeared to be dead in the water until they scored in the fourth quarter. They then elected to attempt an onside kick that was recovered by Matthews. The Seahawks quickly scored another touchdown to take the lead and converted a two-point attempt.
Green Bay tied to the game to send it to overtime but the Seahawks scored on their first possession to advance to the Super Bowl. Seattle would likely be eliminated without Matthews’ timely hands.
Wildcat Chris Matthews recovers the onside kick for Seattle and they score to take the lead. Love my ex Cats making plays. Overtime now.
