Former University of Kentucky wide receiver Demoreo Ford is one of seven former players to file a lawsuit against the NCAA and several major conferences on Wednesday.
The players are seeking damages for injuries they claim are the result of mishandled concussions during their college football careers.
Ford played for UK from 2005 to 2009.

In most cases the lawsuits name the NCAA and the conferences in which the schools competed.
Former University of Kentucky football player Demoreo Ford’s lawsuit is against the Southeastern Conference and the NCAA. Ford played for Kentucky from 2005 to 2009.
“While in school, University of Kentucky football players were under Defendants’ care,” the lawsuit reads. “But, unfortunately, Defendants did not care about the off-field consequences that would haunt their students for the rest of their lives.”
