Former JBA player Brandon Phillips claims the league, which was formed by LaVar Ball, failed to pay him money and that he was forced to pay for his own bags on every flight.
According to a report, Phillips gave up his college eligibility for roughly $1,000.
Former JBA player Brandon Phillips (@itsbphilly) tells me the league only paid him about 1/3 of what he was promised.
Had to pay for his own bags on every flight, so he saved nothing.
Owed two more checks but nobody’s returning his calls.
Gave up his eligibility for ~$1000.

After the report came out, several other players said they were paid accordingly:
Spoken to several players who claim the didn’t have to pay for anything while traveling, food, bags, or hotel. And they’ve all been paid in full. So can’t speak for Brandon i know some of the things him and his mother have claimed. But let’s not act like Lavar is doing kids wrong

Not speaking for everyone in the league, just myself

That sounds like a great league to play for…or not.
Looks like 3rd B in BBB actually stands for bandits for LaMelo Ball, Gelo Ball, and LaVar Ball…according to ex-JBA player Brandon Phillips pic.twitter.com/ePAlyu5yIW
