Former Kentucky linebacker Avery Williamson will miss the upcoming NFL season due to a torn ACL.
The injury was confirmed with an MRI earlier today:
#Jets starting ILB Avery Williamson suffered a torn ACL, source said. He had his MRI today and is out for the season. Terrible preseason injury.

The injury occurred when Williamson collided with a teammate.
Avery Williamson beat in coverage. And now he’s down on the field, shaken up. Campbell ran right into his knee.
Why Avery Williamson is still in the game with 3:44 left in the first half is beyond me.
