RICHMOND, Ky. – Former Eastern Kentucky University’s men’s basketball player Spencer Perrin’s professional playing career brought the Danville native back to Kentucky this spring. The former Colonel played in two games for the Bowling Green Hornets of the Central Basketball Association.
Perrin averaged 20.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while helping the Hornets to two of their five wins. He finished with 23 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 107-99 victory over the Mississippi Eagles on April 11. The 6-foot-6 forward had 18 points and nine boards in a 94-91 win against the Chattanooga Rail Runners on April 18.
Perrin competed for the Colonels during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. As a senior, the he led the team and ranked 10th in the Ohio Valley Conference in rebounding at 5.5 boards per game.
Perrin has also played in Slovakia, Hungary and Iraq, where he was chosen All-Iraqi League Third Team in 2014 after a successful season with Al-Tadamoun.
