Five Quick Observations of Kentucky’s Win over Tennessee

ukvsut

Here are 5 quick observations of Kentucky’s win over Tennessee.

1. Free throws were one of the keys to the win, and it shows that good shooting will make up for other problems that come up during a game(rebounding). Making 23 of 24 from the charity stripe for a blazing 95% will keep the Wildcats in every ballgame, even if they can’t get a rebound.

2. I am getting so tired of “fans” that gripe about the Harrison Twins. I wonder if they will give Andrew Harrison any credit for the game he had today?

3. I wonder why Jarrod Polson has moved ahead of Dominique Hawkins in the rotation?

4. Willie Cauley-Stein stunk for the 2nd straight game. The collapse of WCS has led to Dakari Johnson’s increased minutes and has made the most of his extended time. Maybe it is time for Cauley-Stein to dye his hair another color.

5. Three point shooting won the game for the Cats as they hit 43% from behind the arc. Can they be consistent or is this a rarity that will only be once in a blue moon? Only time will tell.
