The Kentucky Wildcats pounded on the reserves from Puerto Rico 74-49 to go 1-0 in the Bahamas.
Here is a quick reaction from today’s win:
1. Aaron Harrison looks so much stronger as he not only shot the ball well, but he also took the ball to the basket with authority. Aaron is a guy that will torture teams trying to defend him.
2. Alex Poythress is still a beast.
3. Tyler Ulis could be the best backup in the game of basketball and I would hate for him to guard me. This is what I tweeted during the game while he was bugging the PR point guards to tears:
Tyler Ulis is the player at the Y that you want to punch in the face because he plays defense and eats everyone up. #compliment

4. Devin Booker doesn’t need to pass up open threes when he has them, even though he is not hitting his shots. Booker is a guy that will be deadly from behind the perimeter, but he can’t lose confidence. Ever.
5. Although Karl Towns missed a lot of open shots, he still looked very good and will be a force for the Cats. He has to be a favorite for National Freshman POY…so talented.
I know a lot more happened, but these are the 5 things that jumped out to me.
