Here are my 5 quick observations of Kentucky’s win over Providence:
1. Willie Cauley-Stein has become one of the better big men in the country and it has shown on the defensive end. WCS changed the game the way Anthony Davis did during his national championship season. Providence couldn’t get anything going in the paint because most of their shots were coming back at them as quick as they released the basketball.
2. Dominique Hawkins will end up winning a game on the road in the SEC. Hawkins continues to show he has ice water in his veins off the bench backing up the Twins when Cal needs him to.
3. Alex Poythress has made strides, but he still scares me.
4. The Harrison Twins are starting to come into their own. Aaron is getting comfortable as a shooter and Andrew is seeing the floor better every game and could be the best lob passer this early we have seen.
5. Kentucky hitting 75% from the three and making 76% of their free throws is an unstoppable combination. Couple that with 11 blocks?? No one will have a chance.
List your observations in the comments and let’s discuss them.
