This game was over as soon as the ball was thrown up.
Kentucky started the game on a 34-9 run in the first 14:19 to basically put the game away before the Gamecocks ever hit double figures. The John Calipari led #1 team in the nation cruised to a 77-43 victory in front of 24,305 fans in Rupp Arena.
Karl Towns started out with the first 6 points of the game, but didn’t have to do much after that as Willie Cauley-Stein and Aaron Harrison had big days to lead the Wildcats to a school tying best 25-0 record.
The 25-0 record has tied the 1953-54 Adolph Rupp coached Wildcats with the school record best start.
Kentucky will travel to Knoxville Tuesday to play the Tennessee Volunteers at 7pm to extend their school record undefeated streak to 26.
