According to ESPN, the 1996 Kentucky national championship team had one of college basketball’s all-time most dominant NCAA Tournament runs.
John Gasaway of ESPN ranks the 1996 Cats as tied for No. 5 on the list of tournament runs from 1985-2023.
Gasaway ranks 2009 North Carolina at No. 1, followed by 2018 Villanova at No. 2.
