ESPN Ranks UK’s Basketball Non-Conference Schedule #1

ESPN just listed the Best and Worst non-conference basketball schedules for 2015-2016 season.

Looks like the Wildcats are once again playing one of the hardest schedules in college basketball. And despite the Wildcats losing 7 players from last years 38-1 season, they are consistently rank in the Top 5 on preseason polls.

Here is a little piece of what ESPN says about the Cats, read the entire article HERE and also 247Sports HERE.

1. Kentucky Wildcats

John Calipari’s team plays Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse, UCLA in Pauley Pavilion, Duke in Chicago, Louisville (at Rupp Arena) and Ohio State in Brooklyn. The home slate isn’t overwhelming, but there shouldn’t be many teams in the 300 range of the RPI, either.

Despite losing seven players to the NBA Draft, the Wildcats have been tabbed as a consensus preseason top three squad by various publications with freshmen Skal Labissiere and Jamal Murray being named to multiple preseason All-American teams.

In addition to the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class, Calipari also returns sophomore point guard Tyler Ukis and senior power forward Alex Poythress, who is back from a knee injury.

Archrival Louisville, meanwhile, was selected as the most disappointing non-conference schedule.
