Three college basketball analysts take a look at Kentucky’s matchup with LSU and break down if the Tigers have a chance to give the Cats their first loss.
1. Kentucky has been challenged a few times this season. But could this road game at LSU be its toughest SEC test?
Andy Katz: In theory, yes. The Tigers have the size and length to cause problems for Kentucky’s offense. But it’s hard to be all-in with LSU after the Tigers lost at Mississippi State and at home to Auburn. I’m still leaning toward Arkansas or at Georgia if there is a possible first loss.Eamonn Brennan: It’s funny: Kentucky has been so good that I’ve started to hear counterintuitive ideas about the best place to beat them. On the road, they’ll be more engaged … but at home you might sneak up on them! Good luck with that. I’d probably say the March 3 trip to Georgia is Kentucky’s toughest test, not only because it’s on the road (as opposed to Arkansas at Rupp on Feb. 28), but because the Bulldogs are just plain better than LSU in a variety of ways. Also, they didn’t lose to Auburn at home last week. So there’s that.
John Gasaway: Jordan Mickey is a hard worker, LSU plays excellent interior defense and to this point in SEC play the Wildcats’ production in the paint has been good but not great. But the Tigers’ offense has been inconsistent — I just can’t see Johnny Jones’ team pulling off the upset.

My guess is tonight’s game will be about like the win over Florida.
Quick start for the home team and then the undefeated Wildcats settle down and put it away.
