Eric Bledsoe Named Hoops Agents Player of the Week in China

For the fourth consecutive round of action, a former University of Kentucky player has been crowned Player of the Week in China’s CBA league.

This time, it’s former UK star Eric Bledsoe who has been named Hoops Agents Player of the Week. Previoulsy, it was Archie Goodwin and Hamidou Diallo earning weekly honors.

Bledsoe had 34 points and 11 assists to lead Shanghai to a 133-131 win over Nanjing.

Experienced American (185-PG-1989) had a very impressive game in the last round for Shanghai Sharks and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 25.

The 35-year old playmaker got a double-double of 34 points and 11 assists, while his team edged out Nanjing MK (#12, 12-12) 133-131. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. Sharks is placed at 11th position in Chinese CBA. Shanghai is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-10 record. In the team’s last game Bledsoe had a remarkable 72.7% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He turned to be Sharks’s top player in his first season with the team. University of Kentucky graduate has very impressive stats this year. Bledsoe is in league’s top in assists (2nd best: 9.9apg) and averages solid 57.1% FGP.
