Former Kentucky star Micah Johnson has been waived by the Miami Dolphins after week 1 of the NFL regular season. With the additions of Erik Walden and Lionel Dotson, the Dolphins waived Johnson to free up a needed roster spot. Johnson will have a chance to fill an open spot on Miami’s practice squad.
The California State Teachers’ Retirement System, or CalSTRS, permitted the Kings to place the huge advertisement featuring players Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins on its West Sacramento headquarters building free of charge.
Standing more than 10 stories tall, and 65 feet wide, the banner was installed on the east side of the building and will be removed in late November at no cost to the state as part of a community campaign to be announced Thursday, said Patrick Hill, CalSTRS spokesman.
