What a day we had yesterday! The Chicago Suntimes (suntimes.com) posted an article that mentioned a statement about Anthony Davis that was made in yesterday’s “The Morning Drive”. That alone didn’t create the news, but when the Suntimes decided to report rumors about Davis receiving $200K for his commitment, the world took notice.
As Matt Jones pointed out on KSR, the real victim here is Anthony Davis and his family. Then there’s potential damages to UK. This time, UK is not sitting idle, they’ve already released a letter from their attorney informing the Suntimes of their screw up.
Then there’s the Pitino angle. Last week, Marc Maggard from “True Blue Kentucky”, mentioned the possibility of hearing some negative UK news to get the attention away from Ricky P. It’s very ironic that this article caught fire at the same time we could have received a verdict in the Karyn Sypher trial.
