Terrence Jones breaks Doron Lamb’s record for most points scored by a freshman in a single game. Lamb got the starting nod tonight, but Jones stole the show. Not sure if Jones not starting had anything to do with it, but it was nice to see Terrence playing closer to Calipari’s expectations.
Joker Phillips had some time with the media prior to tonight’s basketball game. I guess his message was what you would expect from the head coach, but I wish he would have offered up more of an ownership for last season. Instead, he insisted the program was headed in the right direction and that we’re close to being “in the mix” (for another Compass bowl?).
