Jalen Johnson, who once said Kentucky was his dream school, might be leaning towards playing his basketball at Duke.
Ben Roberts of Kentucky.com says the vibe is Johnson will be a Blue Devil.
Johnson — a 6-foot-8 forward from Wisconsin — told the Herald-Leader and others last month that he could be ready to make his college announcement by July, and he has cut his list to UK, Duke, Arizona and Wisconsin. Though he recently said that Kentucky was his “dream school” growing up, there’s been a sense in recruiting circles that Duke is the team to beat.
The Blue Devils remain the leader on Johnson’s Crystal Ball page, and a couple of nationally respected analysts at Rivals.com — Eric Bossi and Corey Evans — have both put in predictions in favor of Duke over the past few days. Bossi made his pick Tuesday after interviewing Johnson at the most recent Nike event in Indianapolis this past weekend.
