The Courier-Journal released the Kentucky High School Football All-State team earlier this week and the big surprise was Kentucky quarterback signee Drew Barker was named to the 2nd team. Caldwell County junior quarterback Elijah Sindelar was named to the 1st team over Barker.
Barker is an Elite 11 quarterback and an Army All-American, but not 1st team All-State, and probably lost his chance to win the Kentucky Mr. Football award.
Kentucky recruit Matt Elam was named to the 1st team and tweeted this out about Barker being snubbed.
@D_Barker7 Not First Team All State !!?? Ha Throws Newspaper Away !!
