It will be an early morning for myself as I will be traveling to Richmond to attend the college announcement for Madison Central point guard and Mr. Basketball Dominique Hawkins.
The announcement is at at 8am and we will have video on the website of the announcement and a photo gallery of the special morning ceremony for the Sweet 16 MVP.
Anthony Wireman of AllKYHoops.com spoke to 10 coaches, from various levels, and asked them where they thought Hawkins would commit.
As you can probably guess, every coach said they thought he would be a Wildcat.
“My guess is UK,” a high school head coach said. “I think they offered when Calipari went to Richmond.”
A college assistant replied with, “I think he is done to UK.”
“I don’t think a staff watches a kid that many times if they aren’t going to take him,” another college assistant reasoned.
“No doubt,” said another assistant. “He’s headed to Kentucky.”
