Did anyone else see the College Gameday (UT-UF) bracket predictions a moment ago? Digger Phelps told us we weren’t going to Final Four, because of our poor free throw shooting percentage, and our poor guard play. HOWEVER, he chose North Carolina (Surprise, right? not.) to win the National Championship. So, I did some research. Turns out that we’re shooting a pretty solid 70% free throw percentage, while UNC is only shooting 64%. Also, it turns out that Teague and Gilchrist are averaging more points, steals, and rebounds per game than UNC’s guards. And, too, we beat them head-to-head, albeit by 1 point. So, Digger Phelps, biased even more than usual? Was wondering BBN’s thoughts and comments on the matter. GO CATS!:uk:
