Devin Booker recently worked out for the Nuggets. While there, he participated in a Q&A with Leonard Davis and Steven Blevins. The two asked Devin how he would fit into the Nuggets organization and how Kentucky prepared him for this moment.
Q: “How has the meaning of basketball changed for you after playing for arguably the best university in the nation?”
A: “A lot of things have changed, first of all I come from a small public school in Mississippi and to be a part of the biggest stage in college basketball it provides a different outlook. I always knew I loved the game and I always wanted to be around it, but that really allowed me to get in touch with my love for it being around it all day everyday … it becomes a part of your life. The University of Kentucky is the best thing that’s happened to me.”
Q: “While playing with a lot of other NBA talent at the University of Kentucky how do you feel that’s prepared you for playing in the NBA?”
A: “Just how you said it, once we get here we will be surrounded by a lot of other talented players. I know a lot of people said they wanted to see me do more, but I had so many talented people around me to where I didn’t even need to do that. I just made the game simple, playing with so much talent I just fit in.”
