NY2LASports.com recently interviewed Kentucky signee Devin Booker about being selected as a McDonald’s All-American.
“I’m very blessed, it’s definitely a humbling accomplishment, and you know it’s a dream I’ve had almost my whole life so for it to come true I’m kind of lost for words because it’s an incredible opportunity and I want to take advantage of it the best I can,” Booker shared about his feelings about joining this year’s exclusive group of a hoopers to be named a McDonald’s All-American.
Booker is in the midst of an incredible season personally averaging 32 points and 8 rebounds per game, while his Moss Point team remains undefeated in district play. The senior shooting guard is a 6-6, 205-pound phenom who can burn opponents from the outside at any moment, but has the size and strength to go strong inside and overpower defenders, and had been a priority target for much of the country before committing to Kentucky in September.
“I have to finish out my year strong, just go hard every game and still play with a chip on my shoulder like I always will,” Booker mentioned about continuing to work and progress his game while helping his team finish out well.
