Future Wildcat Devin Booker scored 21 points and grabbed 21 boards to lead Moss Point in a 60-51 win over Pascagoula on Friday in Mississippi.
The win was Moss Point’s first over Pascagoula in four years.
Booker told the Sun Herald:
“I had never beaten Pascagoula,” Booker said. “They’re our biggest rival. I got more help this year. I’m being used as a decoy and setting picks for my teammates.”
Moss Point planned to leave Mississippi late Friday night by bus to travel to the Marshall County Hoopfest where they are scheduled to play at 5:00 p.m. ET. Our own Scott Anderson braved the ice storm and is in Benton, KY. He will have complete coverage of Hoopfest throughout the day on Nation of Blue.
I’m told that Devin Booker’s team is 10 minutes from Marshall County and today’s Hoop Fest games will go on as planned.
