Former Memphis star Derrick Rose appeared on a podcast recently where he recalled a story about John Calipari recruiting him.
Rose said Cal rolled into “the hood” in a hummer, which took his entire family by surprise.
“Of all the schools, Coach Cal was the only one that came to the hood. He came in a hummer. It took my whole family by surprise.”
