DeMarcus Cousins injured his ankle in tonight’s gave vs. the Rockets. Cousins was helped off the court by teammates Travis Outlaw and Carl Landry. An x-ray showed no fracture and Cousins is listed as day-to-day with a moderate sprain of his left ankle.
Since he could not return to the game to shoot his free throws, Cousins’ record-breaking double-double streak came to an end at 15 games. The streak is a Sacramento-era Kings record and the longest streak in the NBA this season. Cousins was averaging 23.1 points and 11.7 rebounds per game going into tonight’s game vs. Houston.
