DeMarcus Cousins named MVP of the Week in Taiwan

Former Kentucky big man DeMarcus Cousins was named MVP of the Week in Taiwan on Tuesday.

Cousins led the Taiwan Beer Leopards to a 113-109 win over the Kaohsiung Aquas. The former UK star finished with 25 points and 14 rebounds in the win.

On the season, Cousins is averaging 22.7 points, 12.7 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.

Experienced American DeMarcus Cousins (211-C/F-1990) had an amazing evening in the last round for league’s second-best Taiwan Beer Leopards and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 21.
The 33-year old had a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds, while his team edged out Kaohsiung A. (#3, 15-13) 113-109. The game was between two of the league’s top four teams. Leopards maintains the 2nd position in Taiwanese T1 League. They would have been even better if they hadn’t lost a few games earlier this season. Taiwan Beer L. will need more victories to improve their 18-10 record. In the team’s last game Cousins had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range.
