For the second consecutive round of games, former Kentucky star DeMarcus Cousins has landed a Hoops Agents Player of the Week Award.
Cousins exploded for 37 points in Guanyabo’s 117-115 win over Mayaguez. He also pulled down 7 rebounds and dished out 3 assists.
The big night raised Cousins’ scoring averaged to 19.8 points per game in Puerto Rico.

Experienced American DeMarcus Cousins (211-C/F-1990) had an amazing evening in the last week for Guaynabo and that’s him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 31.
The 32-year old had the game-high 37 points adding seven rebounds and three assists for Guaynabo in his team’s victory, helping them to edge out Mayaguez (#4, 11-17) 117-115. Guaynabo maintains the 4th position in their group in Puerto Rican BSN. Guaynabo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 14-12 record. In the team’s last game Cousins had a remarkable 81.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Guaynabo, being already a very valuable addition to the team. DeMarcus Cousins averages this season 19.8ppg and 9.9rpg.
