DeMarcus Cousins has arrived in Mongolia, where he will join Selenge Bodons for the upcoming playoffs.
Selenge Bodons finished the National League season in fifth place with 15 wins. The team’s first game with Cousins on the roster will be on Monday.
Cousins said he wants to win the championships but he’s excited for more than basketball:
“I was thrilled when I received an offer from the Mongol basketball team and happily joined Selenge Bodons. My main goal is, of course, to play basketball and help make Selenge Bodons a champion. Additionally, I look forward to learning about Mongol culture and traditions. I will try to make the most of my free time. I have watched videos of the Mongol league and followed Selenge Bodons on social media to stay updated. My aim is to contribute to the team’s success through my leadership and performance.”
