Dear Mark Krebs,
Wow, you’re already in your senior year of college and your third year as a member of the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team. I can’t imagine what it’s like to be in your shoes wearing the Kentucky Wildcats uniform, playing with the top players in the country and being a part of something as special as UK2K. Although you get a limited number of minutes on the floor we know it’s your contribution behind the scenes that makes you an irreplaceable part of this program.

Cherish these last few weeks of your collegiate career; it’s surely to be one of the most exciting periods of your life. You’re a bright young man with a very bright future but when you’re old and grey and looking back in time this will be one you remember. Just think about it, you are a fan favorite even above the likes of John Wall and Patrick Patterson. The UK fans, both at home and at Rupp, go absolutely nuts when you hit the floor. The sound is deafening each and every time; very few players in the rich history of UK basketball can say that. The fans react in that way to show you that they understand you contribute in different ways that the starting 5 and that your contributions are noted and very much appreciated.
There’s a lot more for you to add to your legacy as a Wildcat in the short term. This includes a tremendous opportunity for you and your peers to take the SEC Championship make a deep run into the NCAA Tournament and perhaps even win it all this year. There’s a lot of opportunity laying on the table for the team and your work in helping them prepare for each game, providing them leadership during the games and pumping up the fans when you hit the court for the remainder of this season is critical to our success. There’s 9 regular season games remaining and I assure you that every Wildcat fan hopes to see you on the court for all 9 of them. We hope to see you on the court for the SEC Championship and more than anything hope to see you on the court for your final game as a Wildcat while playing in the NCAA Championship game.
To close, here is wishing you well as you complete your career at The University of Kentucky. You have my sincerest best wishes on senior night when you will start and you have my thanks for all of your contributions on game day and every day that lead up to them. You have this fans hope that your future after college will be filled with the excitement you brought the fans during your college days and know that fans will always be cheering for you as loud as they do when you take the floor.
Kind regards and good luck,
Scott Z. and…
