USA Today’s panel of eight NBA experts votes every week on the NBA’s MVP and Rookie of the Year frontrunners. Anthony Davis tops out the second week’s poll, with Sacramento King DeMarcus Cousins sliding in at fourth.
Davis is averaging 24.8 points, 13 rebounds and 4.2 blocks per game so far for the Pelicans this season. Cousins is averaging a career-high 23 points, 1.4 blocks and 9.7 free throws leading the Kings to a 5-2 record.
Nerlens Noel earned the third place spot in Rookie of the Year voting for week 2.
