Former Alabama running back Damien Harris claims he intended to commit to Kentucky in 2015.
Harris says he was “100% going to Kentucky” heading into the announcement, but picked the Alabama hat up.
“I went to pick up the Kentucky hat and I don’t know why or what happened, but I just picked the Alabama hat up and put it on,” Harris explains.
He seems to indicate that it was almost like divine intervention:
