Cincinnati Offensive Coordinator Leading Candidate For Kentucky Job

Gridironnow.com is reporting that Cincinnati offensive coordinator Eddie Gran is the leading candidate to replace Shannon Dawson as Kentucky’s OC.

Kentucky is looking for an offensive coordinator after Shannon Dawson was let go after one season, and insiders tell GN that Eddie Gran — who holds the same job at Cincinnati — is a top candidate. Gran also was in the mix last year, when Dawson was hired.

Gran has an extensive background in the SEC and also spent time at Florida State; Gran is known as a high-level recruiter, especially in south Florida. His three seasons at FSU exactly coincided with the time Kentucky coach Mark Stoops spent on the Seminoles’ staff as defensive coordinator.
