Sixth-round draft pick Chris Rodriguez, Jr. made a good case for a roster spot with the Washington Commanders over the weekend.
Rodriguez had 7 carries for 52 yards in the Commanders’ 21-19 win over the Bengals Saturday night. During the preseason, Rodriguez had 17 carries for 132 yards.
Analysts expect Rodriguez to land the team’s No. 3 running back spot, but he must beat out third-year pro Jaret Patterson and veteran Jonathan Williams for the job.
