Campbellsville University Harrodsburg won its first-ever NCCAA Division II national championship last night with an 89-79 victory over Crown College.

Joplin, MO: Campbellsville University Harrodsburg (CUH) captured its first-ever Division II Men’s Basketball National Championship after defeating No. 4 Crown College 89-79. The Pioneers went into the halftime break tied with Crown 39-39, but opened the second half on a 9-0 run and never looked back. The Pioneers withstood Crown’s comeback attempt, hitting shot after shot and converting free throws when it mattered. Antoine Darby was crucial in the win as he finished with 26 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Tyron Duncan tallied 14 points and 5 assists, while Chris Rawlins finished with 17 points and 5 rebounds to help clinch the title.
The No. 2 seeded Pioneers opened the tournament with a 91-67 first round win over host and No. 7 Ozark Christian College. Fourteen Pioneers scored in the win as Darby led the way with 13 points and 8 rebounds. CUH then defeated No. 3 Manhattan Christian College in a semifinal matchup. Duncan scored a game-high 17 points to go along with 4 rebounds and 4 assists, while teammate Mason Blair finished with 16 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists.
