Patriots Fall in Low Scoring Affair at Campbellsville
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Men’s Basketball team knew they had a tough task ahead of them on Thursday as they traveled to Campbellsville University for their 1st road game of the season. After a back and forth first half that saw the Patriots trail 30-26, UC would push back, but a late turnover spelled trouble as Campbellsville would come away with a 55-54 win over UC. With the loss, the Patriots now move to 7-1 overall and 2-1 in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play.
BY THE NUMBERS
· Michael Dow (Melbourne, Australia) led the Patriots on the night with 12 points and 4 rebounds.
· Xavier Owens (Tampa, FL) chipped in 9 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists.
· Taylor Gover (Somerset, KY) added 9 points as well in the loss.
· UC would only commit 3 turnovers in the game while forcing 16.
· The Patriots would be outrebounded by the Tigers 47-34.

The Patriots will continue their 6 game road trip on Saturday as they travel to take on St. Catharine College in a MSC battle. Tipoff is set for 4 pm.
