John Calipari indicated after tonight’s exhibition win over Kentucky State that All-American Oscar Tshiebwe will likely miss Kentucky’s first two regular season games.
“I would be stunned if he played Monday,” Calipari explained. “I would be somewhat surprised if he played Friday.”
After Kentucky’s Pro Day, Calipari said the procedure on Oscar’s knee would be very minor and he should be back for the first regular season game.
Now, that doesn’t seem to be the case.
John Calipari tells reporters that he would be “stunned” if Oscar Tshiebwe (knee) plays in Kentucky’s opener on Monday against Howard.
Tshiebwe is the reigning National Player of the Year.
