Auburn head basketball coach Bruce Pearl was asked about his upcoming schedule on the SEC Teleconference today and if his team could go on a run to finish off his first season back in the SEC and he was brutally honest.
He can beat anybody except Kentucky.
The question now is whether Auburn can go on a run with eight regular-season games remaining. Doing so could help Pearl avoid his first losing season.
“With the exception of Kentucky, I have said there isn’t a team on our schedule we can’t beat,” Pearl said. “I don’t know if we can beat Kentucky at Kentucky. I just don’t know. I don’t know. Can we (go on a run)? Yeah, we can.”
You have to respect a man that knows he can’t accomplish the impossible.
