Boyle County rallied late and survived overtime to defeat Franklin County 31-28 in the 4A state championship game tonight.
The Rebels (11-0) had a chance to win in overtime but a potential game-winning field goal was blocked by the Flyers.
In overtime, the Rebels were held to a field goal on their first possession. Franklin County (9-2) had a chance to win on the final play, but senior Luke Sheperson swatted the pass down to preserve the Boyle County win.
